FULL LIFE DEVELOPMENT (www.fulllifedevelopment.com)
Full Life Development (FLD) is a community development ministry based in northern Thailand. Workers apply the Community Health Evangelism (CHE) strategy to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs of individuals and entire communities. FLD primarily works with minority peoples who are economically and politically disadvantaged; most are refugees from Burma (Myanmar) who have resettled in Thailand. Almost all are unreached by the Gospel.
Started in 2005 by Nathan and Bethany Scott, missionaries to Thailand since 2003, Full Life Development currently has four national trainers plus one volunteer. FLD ministry includes:
            a. Training students and teachers at a local school covering natural agriculture, health, and moral topics
            b. Training villagers to meet their felt needs
            c. Working with the local church, teaching, leading worship, and going out to evangelize the surrounding area
            d. Evangelism
            e. Encouraging area Christians and pastors
            f. Offering training seminars for others who want to apply community health evangelism
BUMC has sponsored FLD since its beginning. Thirty percent of designated “mission” funds collected during the offering go to support FLD.

FAMILY LIFE CENTER (flcminis.org)
The Family Life Center (FLC) opened its ministry doors in 1999. The mission of Family Life Center of Greene County Indiana Incorporated is to assist all the members of a family with the support required to enhance the emotional, social, mental, Spiritual, and Physical balance in their lives. In doing this we support our community by teaching, training, and supporting them.
A Brief History:
  • FLC started as a women’s ministry in Bloomington designed to help only women.
  •  Soon after that was started, the ministry realized that men and entire families also needed just as much help. The need prompted Family Life Center.
  • FLC has been at their current location for 3 years and now helps over 1,000 families every month!!!!!!
The purpose of Family Life Center of Greene County Indiana Inc. is to care for families and individuals in their woundedness and to assist them in developing a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This will be achieved by providing programs and services, which will improve the quality of life for the family thereby strengthening the community “from person to person”.
At BUMC, fifty percent of designated “mission” funds collected during the offering go to support FLC.

Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and to care for the earth.
Heifer envisions a world of communities living together in peace and equitably sharing the resources of a healthy planet.
Heifer's strategy is to “pass on the gift.” As people share their animals’ offspring with others – along with their knowledge, resources, and skills – an expanding network of hope, dignity, and self-reliance is created that reaches around the globe.

This simple idea of giving families a source of food rather than short-term relief caught on and has continued for over 60 years. Today, millions of families in 128 countries have been given the gifts of self-reliance and hope.
This mission is especially easy for children wishing to become involved. At the end of every month, a “noisy” offering is performed. This offering, mostly consisting of coins, is collected by the kids and offered to Heifer. A little bit of change from many can go a long way, so save up those quarter, dimes, nickels, and pennies.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD (www.samaritanspurse.org)
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on mission project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.
This campaign kicks off in October at Bloomfield UMC and lasts through the middle of November. Boxes are filled and delivered to the church, then shipped to a local distribution center. Bulletins will be made available for those who wish to know how and with what to “stuff” a shoebox.
